Etherington House INSIDE AGNES runs on the second Sunday each month from September through April. These sessions of music performance, conversation, art and tea are organized by The Agnes Society volunteers. All are welcome. Free Family Care Drop-In is available in the Studio.
FREE ACTIVE LIVING PROGRAMS
Keep Well A twice-weekly, one-hour gentle exercise program that encourages physical activity among Kingston residents over 55 years of age and who experience barriers in achieving a physically active lifestyle. Once a week, social time is held after exercises to encourage participants to make friends and join in the conversation. Refreshments and a healthy snack are provided. Classes are Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 to 11 am and 12 to 1 pm at 263 Weller Avenue.
Tai Chi Chih A 12-week class geared toward adults over 18. Classes are run by a certified instructor and include 20 moves that are taught sequentially over the 12 weeks - Mondays - 12 to 1 pm at 263 Weller Avenue
Chair Yoga A weekly gentle yoga class where almost all poses are performed seated. This class is open to anyone aged 15+ and is meant to make yoga accessible to all, regardless of ability or income. Classes are Wednesdays, 1 to 1:45 pm at 263 Weller Avenue.
Exercise for Chronic Pain Do you suffer from chronic pain? Exercise can help reduce your pain, increase your range of motion, and reduce your need for medication. Run by the Kingston Community Health Centers and hosted at the Boys & Girls Club (1300 Bath Road), this free class consists of gentle exercises and is open to anyone in the Kingston community aged 14+. Classes are Mondays and Thursdays, 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
